We are proud to support Noahs Ark Childrens Hospice

Noah’s Ark is a local charity based in Barnet, serving the local community in North London. Children’s hospices currently receive little or no statutory funding. Therefore, Noah’s Ark relies solely on local businesses and individuals’ support to fund their excellent work.

History

Noah’s Ark was established in 1999 by Michael McInerney following the death of a child in his extended family. Following some years of fundraising, a full-time CEO was appointed in August 2005. Whilst the original aim of the Board was to raise money for a building, the new plan quickly identified that a comprehensive outreach team was needed as soon as possible to meet the needs of families with children with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions. Since 2005, Noah’s Ark has worked with hundreds of families, acquired land for their hospice building, and has a strong and diverse service, offering much-needed support when families need it most.

Noah’s Ark has a very active community team that provides vital support through home support volunteers, family activities, specialist care and nursing, therapies, and specialist play. These services allow them to offer families support where it is most needed.
