Churchill Knight Umbrella began trading in 2017. However, while relatively new to the marketplace, our sister company, Churchill Knight & Associates Ltd, is one of the most established contractor accountants in the UK with over 25 years of trading history.
We launched Churchill Knight Umbrella to cater to the rise in demand for contractors and freelancers working on assignments inside IR35. With a focus on compliance and customer service, Churchill Knight Umbrella has quickly become one of the UK’s most recognised and respected umbrella companies.
In a sector with hundreds of providers, it can be challenging for contractors and freelancers to find a dependable umbrella company. We are proud to be accredited by the FCSA (Freelancer and Contractor Service Association) and SafeRec certified. Both these bodies help us showcase our dedication to providing the very best services – regarding both customer service and compliance with UK tax law. It also showcases our commitment to protecting our employees and ensuring they’re never subjected to malpractice or unscrupulous activity.
Simply put, the FCSA is the UK’s leading professional body which sets out to protect temporary workers from unethical behaviour from organisations within the supply chain. Obtaining FCSA accreditation is a thorough process, and we had to undergo a series of audits and assessments. FCSA accredited members must adhere to their strict Codes of Compliance, and we’re delighted to confirm that we do. Since becoming FCSA accredited, Churchill Knight Umbrella has successfully passed every annual audit – something that members must undertake to retain the prestigious FCSA membership.
SafeRec is something we’re truly excited about. As a SafeRec Certified Umbrella Company, every Churchill Knight Umbrella employee has access to an independent, thorough and accurate payslip audit – every time we issue them a payslip. The audit, powered by AI, will review every figure and deduction on the payslip, and any unaccountable deductions or unusual activity will be flagged. The entire supply chain will be alerted. This is an entirely new level of transparency within the sector and something we’re so happy to be able to offer our employees. We are driven by compliance, but now our employees can see this for themselves as live proof is available.
If you’re looking for a compliant umbrella company with a perfect track record – Churchill Knight Umbrella is the way forward. Since we started trading in 2017, our priority has always been to provide a compliant and reliable service for the many thousands of temporary workers seeking an umbrella payroll provider.
