2015 Budget contractors

As your contractor accountants in London, we keep you updated with the latest changes in legislation and bring you the most important highlights from the news. Coming up on Wednesday, 16th March is the annual Budget. George Osborne will take to the House of Commons to deliver his third, wholly Conservative Budget.

In July 2015, we highlighted the most important things for contractors to note following the Summer Budget and in November 2015, when Osborne delivered his Autumn Statement we brought you the key takeaways from it.

With last year’s Budget full of significant announcements including changes to dividend tax, corporation tax and the removal of Travel and Subsistence affecting thousands of contractors who work through an umbrella company.

There are expectations that Osborne will announce serious changes to pensions, business taxes, and a potential increase in fuel duty, and some are predicting that he may even admit to a failure in the Budget.

On Wednesday 16th March 2016, we’ll bring you the key highlights as quickly as we can once the Budget is announced but if you want to watch the action from parliament, it will be available to watch on TV and online from approximately 12.30pm, immediately after Prime Minister’s Questions.

Join us on our blog on 16th March to find out exactly what comes out of the Chancellors red briefcase.
