On Friday 30th November 2018, Churchill Knight & Associates Ltd hosted a breakfast seminar in Whitechapel, London, exclusively for recruitment professionals. We’ve already received some wonderful feedback and as a result, we’ll be looking to arrange similar mornings in the near future.
Thank you to those who attended
Everyone at Churchill Knight would like to say a big thank you to those who attended our first off-payroll in the private sector seminar. We’ve already received some really positive feedback and look forward to arranging some new and valuable meet-ups in the near future. Make sure you register your interest now to guarantee a spot.
Why did we host the event?
Off-payroll in the private sector is going to have a monumental impact on recruitment agencies, end-clients and tens of thousands of temporary workers. As a result, we wanted to host a free breakfast seminar to help educate recruitment professionals.
2020 sounds a long time away and therefore, why do recruitment agencies need to take off-payroll in the private sector seriously now? Why not wait for a year and make a conscious effort to sort things out in 2020?
In reality, April 2020 is less than 18 months away and when it comes into play, there is no going back. What are you going to do with your contractors who accept a year-long contract in June or July 2019? All of a sudden, your contractors’ take-home pay will be heavily impacted mid-assignment and if there is no structure in place to account for this, you’re going to have a lot of questions to answer.
Who is Professional Passport?
Churchill Knight & Associates Ltd is proud to be accredited by Professional Passport, “an independent organisation with no links, shareholders or investors that are agencies, end clients or providers.”
As our guest, Crawford Temple, CEO of Professional Passport and PRISM, delivered an hour-long presentation on the development of IR35, the new off-payroll legislation, the implications for recruitment agencies and their end clients, the consequences on private sector contractors’ take home pay, how to prepare for the future, and much more.
The information was engaging and certainly got the audience asking complex questions throughout and this is exactly why we chose Professional Passport to participate.
Education is Paramount
Throughout the presentation, the importance for recruitment agencies to educate their end clients about the upcoming legislation changes and how to properly prepare was stressed. Whilst there is much negatively surrounding off-payroll in the private sector, there are also plenty of opportunities for recruitment agencies to grow – thanks to their expert knowledge in dealing with contractors in the private sector.
If you would like to arrange a free* meeting between your senior recruitment professionals and your end clients with Crawford, please contact your Churchill Knight Account Manager or give us a call on 01707 671645.
