Who are the favourites to win Euro 2024?
We should be used to seeing England amongst the bookmakers favourites for major tournaments by now but it still doesn’t look quite right. However, whether it looks right or not, Sky Bet have made England favourites to win Euro 2024 at odds of 3/1. Second favourites are France (7/2) and hosts Germany are third favourites with odds of 6/1. Here are the latest odds* to help you identify which nations you do and do not want to pull from the hat in your office sweepstake!
England – 3/1 | Italy – 16/1 | Hungary – 80/1 | Ukraine – 100/1 |
France – 7/2 | Netherlands – 16/1 | Switzerland – 80/1 | Romania – 200/1 |
Germany – 6/1 | Croatia – 40/1 | Czech Republic – 100/1 | Slovenia – 200/1 |
Portugal – 8/1 | Denmark – 40/1 | Poland – 100/1 | Albania – 250/1 |
Spain – 8/1 | Turkey – 66/1 | Scotland – 100/1 | Georgia – 500/1 |
Belgium – 16/1 | Austria – 80/1 | Serbia – 100/1 | Slovakia – 500/1 |
Based on the information about, if you get England, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Italy or Netherlands, you have a chance of winning your office sweepstake! However, pull out Georgia or Slovakia – you may have picked a nation which struggles to register a single point in the tournament, let alone win it! Whoever you do pick – best of luck!
Who will win Euro 2024?
Who do you think will win Euro 2024? Please share your views and thoughts in the comments below. We’ve asked some members of the Churchill Knight team to share their opinions on the tournament, and here they are.
Andrew Trodden – Marketing Manager
“England have talented players who would get in any international side, including Bellingham, Rice, Foden, and Kane. However, we never seem to do what it takes to win, and although I like Southgate as a chap, I don’t visualise him as the man to help England win a major trophy.
I can’t look past France to win Euro 2024. It may be hosted in Germany, but France has a squad of world-class players and has proven they have what it takes to win when it matters. They were also finalists in the last World Cup. France will win, and England will get knocked out in the semis, but come the World Cup in 2026, we’ll still believe!”
Ciaran Woodcock – Director
“It feels like every year we say the tournament comes a year too early for this crop of England players, but this year might just represent their best chance. This might be the strongest squad I can remember England having and we have genuinely world class players throughout the side.
With that being said it’s hard to look past France, just a large number of players they are going to leave out would be a shoe in for most squads.”
Clare Denison – Marketing Executive
“I think England is going to win as they have the best young team in the competition, and Jude Bellingham is currently the best centre-midfield player. However, France is in good stead to win the competition, especially if Mbappe is on good form, as he will be unstoppable!”
Jessica Coy – Business Development Manager
“‘That Gascoigne Goal’ Euro 96 is where my love of international football began. What a year! And who can forget the iconic song Three Lions. Football was finally “coming home” or so the song began….
28 years on and we still believe…. But we lack that killer edge and Gareth is too conservative with our set up. So, with that said and with the host nation advantage my prediction is Germany will win this year (on penalties!)”
Liam Hulse – Sales Team Leader
“This year I think it’s finally time we see England lift the trophy. The Euros have come round at the right time, many of our key players having very good seasons at club level. England have always had an overflow of individual talent but let hope they can perform as a team as they will need to give it everything especially with the likes of France, Portugal and the host nation Germany all with world-class squads.
Key players for England to keep an eye out for will be Bellingham, Foden and Maguire.”
