Churchill Knight Umbrella is accredited by the FCSA (Freelancer and Contractor Services Association) and is a SafeRec Certified Umbrella Company. We take compliance extremely seriously and are proud to provide our employees with an industry-leading service they can truly reply on.
The Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA)
The FCSA is the UK’s leading and most recognised professional body, which is committed to ensuring the supply chain of temporary workers is ethical and compliant with HMRC’s rules and regulations. The FCSA accredits umbrella companies that are dedicated to compliance and want to showcase this to the sector (especially their employees).
Churchill Knight is proud to be an accredited member of the FCSA. To achieve this, we underwent a series of audits and assessments that reviewed our internal processes to ensure that everything we do complies with UK tax law. The FCSA has its own publicly viewable Codes of Compliance (available here), and our accreditation showcases that we have successfully proven we adhere to it.
Once an umbrella obtains the prestigious FCSA accreditation, it must undergo an annual assessment to ensure its processes remain compliant with the FCSA’s Codes of Compliance. Churchill Knight has successfully passed our yearly audits – showcasing our dedication to complying with UK tax law and our commitment to updating our processes to comply with changes to rules and regulations.
SafeRec
Churchill Knight Umbrella recently became one of the first SafeRec Certified Umbrella Companies in the UK, and we’re pleased about it!
SafeRec has already had a massive impact on supply chain compliance. As a SafeRec Certified Umbrella Company, all our employees have access to AI-powered payslip audits – every time we process their payroll. This is an entirely new level of transparency that, thanks to SafeRec, is helping contractors and freelancers use umbrella companies with complete peace of mind.
Ciaran Woodcock, a director at Churchill Knight Umbrella, explains the new levels of transparency that SafeRec provides the entire supply chain.
“By incorporating SafeRec’s valuable AI into Churchill Knight Umbrella’s business model, we are helping promote compliance throughout the supply chain. Firstly, SafeRec provides all our employees with real-time reports for every umbrella company payslip we provide them since becoming a certified member. This level of transparency has never been seen in the sector before.”
“SafeRec is capable of identifying suspicious activity, such as salary skimming. With the industry having undergone recent scrutiny, this is extremely valuable and will provide our employees with complete peace of mind. Essentially, SafeRec allows umbrella companies committed to compliance, like Churchill Knight Umbrella, to prove they abide by UK laws and can be trusted – which is fantastic.”
